Closed for repairs
Thursday, June 2nd, 2011I’ve removed PhotoUpLink and VideoUpLink from the web site download area temporarily. Quicktime, the Facebook API, and Cocoa API’s have all changed radically and are causing customers to experience failures which understandably lead me to refund their money. To avoid any more of these situations, I’ve shut down the links for now until I can resolve this issues. I’ll be sending out a press release when PhotoUpLink and VideoUpLink have been refreshed, the next versions have some exciting new features. Thank you for your continued support and patience.
Cars 2 meets Zynga?
Wednesday, June 1st, 2011PhotoUpLink Lite and VideoUpLink Lite removed from App Store
Tuesday, May 17th, 2011Like many other small developers, any legal action will shut down uplink.to Anywhere. Until I hear from Apple about the Lodsys patent issue, only the full versions of PhotoUpLink and VideoUpLink will be available. I’ve set the new live date for July 14th, Bastille Day. Hopefully it will be resolved by then. Thank you for your continued support.

PhotoUpLink Lite now available on the App Store
Thursday, October 14th, 2010Whew! It is listed in the Social Networking category, in support of its Facebook album creation feature. Lets see how it goes.
PhotoUpLink Lite resubmitted to Apple.
Monday, October 4th, 2010With in app purchase of the FTP component, not a link to the full version on the App Store, as Apple requested. The HIG was changed to stop linking out to unrestricted apps, but VideoUpLink Lite was approved even though it did just that (shhh). I’ve used Urban Airship superficially before, but this was the first time I dealt with the store kit directly. It wasn’t so bad, though I definitely benefited from being a late comer with plenty of documentation and tutorials out there already. HINT – Sandbox mode only works when you are plugged in to Xcode. I know, I know, RTFM.
UPDATE 10/11/10 : Rejected again because email didn’t work!!!? Always worked for me, every time. I fixed some typos and resubmitted it. Here’s hoping.
PhotoUpLink 2.0.3 for iPhone has been approved for sale by Apple..
Wednesday, September 1st, 2010.. and is live now on the App Store. I was being massacred in the reviews but the new FTP code everyone will get updated too should change things. PhotoUpLink Lite is on its way next, giving free access to Facebook and MySpace album uploading.
PhotoUpLink 2.0.3 submitted to the App Store
Thursday, August 26th, 2010Did it using the Xcode submission dialogs. Which provide NO. FEEDBACK. WHATSOEVER. The only way to know its working is to open Activity Monitor and go to the network traffic view. I’m still not sure what the bug is, as y’all know I have been gleefully uploading Facebook photo albums directly from my iPhone with this build. I fixed a couple of assumptions in the Facebook SDK so it may have more to do with the PhotoUpLink application not being installed into the Facebook account of whoever is testing it at Apple. So here’s hoping. Back to contract work meanwhile.
