PhotoUpLink will open to the About tab, shown here. The trial version lasts for 30 days, during which time 5 images or video can be processed per launch. To remove these limits, click the Purchase button and you will be taken to a secure online store front. Upon completing the purchase you will receive an email with activation information in it. Even after the trial period has expired, you will still be able to download images and video transferred to you via PhotoUpLink .pul email attachments, using the Import tab.
FTP and SFTP
PhotoUpLink allows you to use your own FTP space, or any FTP space to store and forward items directly from iPhoto. This version of PhotoUpLink also introduces support for PhotoUpLink.Net, a service available only to users of PhotoUpLink to simplify transfers of hi-res images and video to multiple email recipients, eliminating email attachment size limits.

Send email – enter download base view URL:
Email is automatically generated containing links to FTP or HTTP accessible files that can be clicked on by the recipient. The .pul attachment when clicked on activates the Windows PhotoUplink Import, which then automatically imports the files into a new folder under My Pictures. This eliminates the need for large attachments of multiple files that may get rejected by mail servers and clog the recipient’s Inbox. PhotoUpLink supports both HTTP and FTP importing, with or without user authentication. It is crucial that the URL you type in here is formed correctly for the outward facing server access. The FTP location maybe totally different from the eventual HTTP folder address that used to download the images, though in many cases, it could be the same. With this feature PhotoUpLink enables personal area publishing and workgroup area publishing; one-to-contacts, using your existing address books – as well as one-to-many publishing.
Use PhotoUpLink.net one click transfer (Under Construction)
PhotoUpLink.net is introduced here for the first time in Windows PhotoUpLink, and will be supported in OS X and Windows Mobile versions also. PhotoUplink.net is a public FTP server PhotoUpLink users can use to temporarily store images for collection by email recipients. This eliminates the need for hand assembling viewing URLs as described above. You will also be able to create galleries directly in future versions on PhotoUpLink.net.

When you select PhotoUpLink.net option, other options will be disabled, they are now calculated for you. However you can still pick the folder name and the output size of the images and video. If this is the first time you have chosen the PhotoUpLink.net option, you will also be asked to agree to the terms and conditions of use, which can be reviewed here.
Database
PhotoUpLink extracts certain information from the EXIF information contained in JPG files and can send it to a database of your choice. One row of data is created for each image or video selected. The information contained in each row is: Filename, Width, Height, and Pathname.

Two kinds of databases are supported:
Excel

To use the Excel export, select Excel as the database output format. It is required that you set an output location also before running. Click Select then choose the folder and name of the file to be created. Excel will automatically open and create a new spreadsheet with the information in it when you click Export. If you encounter any problems, try opening Excel first then click Export again. Video and other file types are not supported.
ODBC

Selecting this feature enables the binary data of each image or video, along with item metadata, to be sent to any data source that has an ODBC driver installed for it on your computer. A data source that supports binary objects is required. This includes MySQL, Oracle, IBM DB2, or Microsoft SQL Server. The user logged in must have the privilege level necessary to create and write to a table. In this case, clicking Select will open a Data Source selection dialog:

A list of Data Source names will be obtained and presented for selection. Once the Data Source is selected, the database and table are then determined:

Table names with spaces or special characters will fail.
